Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Roadmap Released

Infinity Ward has released a roadmap of its plans for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, with lots of details about upcoming changes. To help fans track the changes more easily, it’s also released a simplified schedule for updates, along with an easy-to-access public document for changes.

In a community update, the studio says some planned changes include a Gunfight 3v3 mode, the return of the Gunfight tournament, and more loadouts. It also promises more 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier events as well. Aside from those added features and improvements, the developer is also working on several fixes. Those include lighting flickering, mission collision on the Cargo map, platinum skins not unlocking, Ground War out of map exploits, and camos glare.

It’s a lot to keep track of, so Infinity Ward has also opened a public Trello board that lists current projects, known issues, and helpful links. IW states this is definitely not everything it is working on at any given time, but should give fans a good overview of issues. It has also committed certain days of the week to various update types:

  • Tuesday – Playlist updates
  • Thursday – Developer diary and/or behind the scenes blog
  • Friday – Community Update blog

Modern Warfare has already broken records, and Infinity Ward has been keeping it going with a steady stream of content updates. Activision is also using the game to help raise money for Australian bushfire relief.
