New CoD Modern Warfare Update Lets You Mix And Match Weapon Blueprints Soon

An update coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this week on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One will give players more freedom within the Gunsmith. Now, you will be able to mix and match your blueprints.

Developer Infinity Ward revealed in a recent Call of Duty update post that Gunsmith Customs will let you create personalized weapons for Modern Warfare. By combining different attachments from blueprints of the same weapon type, the end result will be weapons that have “unique looks, styles, and capabilities.” The studio said more information on Gunsmith Customs will come out sometime this week.

There’s more coming to Modern Warfare and Warzone this week in addition to Gunsmith Customs. Infinity Ward unveiled a double XP event and multiplayer playlist update, new contract type for Warzone that comes with a massive payoff for your entire squad, and more.

In other Call of Duty news, a new patch is slated to hit Modern Warfare and Warzone on Tuesday, April 28. Infinity Ward has yet to reveal the full patch notes, but the preview notes confirm that Warzone’s gas circle has been “adjusted,” various bugs have been addressed, and more. The update will be split in two this time around.
