The best deal for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare comes from Walmart, which has the game for $38. Walmart kicks off its online sale for Black Friday on November 27 at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET. The deals will also be made available in stores starting at 6 PM local time on November 28.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare | $38 ($60)

Modern Warfare received a score of 7/10 in our Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare review. GameSpot’s Kallie Plagge was disappointed by its lackluster Spec Ops mode but still enjoyed Modern Warfare’s exciting campaign and new multiplayer modes, including the 2v2 Gunfight mode.

“The pitfalls of Spec Ops don’t detract from what Modern Warfare does well, though,” she wrote. “Realism mode is an excellent addition to the slate, and although not all the new multiplayer modes are great, Gunfight and the Night Vision playlist are refreshing standouts. And while the campaign ends up playing it safe in the end, it’s still a memorable one, and it lays a strong foundation for where the Modern Warfare series could go from here.”

Best Black Friday PS4 Game Deals: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Resident Evil 2, And More

The PS4 has seen a number of great games this year, though the console’s first-party offerings haven’t been quite as strong. Still, it’s the second best-selling console ever, which makes it the console of choice when shopping for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals this month. Here’s your guide to finding the lowest prices on all the games you’ve missed out on, or the ones you loved so much you’re buying them as a gift.

Where to find the best PS4 game deals

Black Friday retailer ads started releasing in early November. Target’s Black Friday ad was the first among major retailers to release this year; Best Buy’s Black Friday ad released soon after, and Walmart’s Black Friday ad closely followed. All three sales offer a wide assortment of PS4 game deals. Expect similarly robust sales from GameStop and Amazon to be announced soon. You should also keep an eye on the PlayStation Store, as Sony usually offers its own deals on digital games throughout Black Friday weekend.

We’ll keep adding to the list below as more Black Friday retailer ads appear online. For now, we’re off to a great start, as Target’s and Best Buy’s ads feature a ton of awesome PS4 games, including numerous 2019 hits for the lowest prices we’ve seen. While specific start times will vary by retailer, all of these game discounts will be available starting Thanksgiving Day.

CoD: Modern Warfare Patch Notes: New Update Nerfs The 725, Again

This week, Infinity Ward released its latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update, and if you’ve been following along with recent patches, you can likely already guess one thing it does. Alongside a large array of fixes, there have been some new balance adjustments–including one to nerf the 725 shotgun, which has proven to be problematic since the game’s launch. The update is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One; read on for a look at the highlights and the full patch notes.

Among the biggest fixes in the 11/19 patch notes are to an exploit that would let players duplicate killstreaks, and an issue where a player can no longer see the objective after spectating and then retrying a mission. Several challenges have also been fixed, and a few weapons have gotten rebalanced. But the headliner of the set is yet another change to the 725. It has gotten adjustments making it weaker at range but with better spread. Alongside that, the AUG has gotten a buff, and the 680 has gotten a damage range reduction with attachments.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare updates have come frequently, the most recent of which was just a few days ago. That one also nerfed the 725, and came just after another patch had done the same. The shotgun is just too effective at range, so Infinity Ward has been consistently trying to adjust it. Getting the balance right on the 725 is apparently difficult.

“Realism mode is an excellent addition to the slate, and although not all the new multiplayer modes are great, Gunfight and the Night Vision playlist are refreshing standouts,” Kallie Plagge wrote in GameSpot’s Modern Warfare review. “And while the campaign ends up playing it safe in the end, it’s still a memorable one, and it lays a strong foundation for where the Modern Warfare series could go from here.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 11/19 Update Patch Notes

  • Fix for the “Blue V” Optic challenge not displaying the proper text description

  • Fix misspelling of “trophy”

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the filter on the respawn selection screen to stay on screen when spawning back in

The following challenges have been fixed:

  • “Infiltrator”

  • “Warrior’s Code”
