Play 10 Xbox One Games For Free This Weekend, Including Borderlands 3 And Gears 5

Xbox One owners looking for something to play this weekend are in luck. Microsoft is hosting a Big Gaming Weekend over the next four days, unlocking 10 games for everyone to play for free. Additionally, online multiplayer is free this weekend, so those who don’t have an Xbox Live Gold subscription can join in on the fun, too.

All of the games are also on sale for the next week–with the exception of Modern Warfare–so if you like what you play this weekend, you can purchase a copy to own for a discounted price. Here’s a list of everything you can check out this weekend as well as the sale prices for each game.

Modern Warfare’s free multiplayer weekend kicks off tomorrow, August 7, but all of the other games are free starting today. Now’s your chance to try out a variety of titles. As you can probably tell by the list, the games lean heavily into multiplayer. However, you can still enjoy the single-player campaigns of games like Gears 5, Monster Hunter World, and Borderlands 3.

For Xbox Game Pass subscribers, six of those games are already free to play any time you want, so you’ll probably want to focus your attention on the other four: Borderlands 3, Black Desert, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Xbox Game Pass members can also download a handful of new games from the service starting today, including Darksiders: Genesis and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. Meanwhile, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can snag a pair of August’s Games with Gold freebies and one holdover from July.
