What's New In Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare And Warzone This Week?

It’s a new week, and that means Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the battle royale game Warzone are getting refreshed with new playlists and store bundles. We’ve rounded up all the important details below, as posted by Activision on its blog.

Modern Warfare

In Modern Warfare, the Games of Summer event rolls on this week. This includes five single-player trials that players can compete in and represent their country based on your account location. These trials range from clearing out enemies while avoiding civilian targets to completing an obstacle course in the fastest time possible. New Modern Warfare Playlists

Modern Warfare is getting new multiplayer playlists this week, one of which is Search and Rescue. It’s an objective-based mode that combines parts of Kill Confirmed and Search and Destroy. You drop a dog tag when you die, but the twist is that if the enemy grabs your tag instead of your teammate, you’re done for the round.

The Ground War mode brings back its Reinforce variant this week. “Similar to Domination, there will only be three flags positioned in the center for a tighter more intense battle. Cap all three to automatically claim the round for your team,” reads its description.

New Warzone Playlists

A new limited-time mode for Warzone, called Kingslayer, is coming to the battle royale game. Players are divided into two teams, and players compete for the highest score based on kills in this respawn-enabled mode. The player with the most points becomes the King, and their target is revealed on the map.

The regular Warzone modes–solos, duos, trios, quads, and Blood Money quads–remain n rotation in the game.

New Store Bundles

The Modern Warfare/Warzone microtransaction store introduces a new bundle for Gaz called “The Game Winner.” It comes with a outfit that looks like a jersey, along with a “Footy” weapon charm and a Legendary assault rifle.

The Operator Mara is getting a new bundle, too, in the form of the Kawaii Cat bundle. It comes with 10 items, including vehicle skins, melee swords, and a weapon blueprint called Slaying the Moon. The bundle also includes a “Notice Meow” skin for Mara.
