It seems you’re not alone either. Modern Warfare’s official reddit is teeming with questions about the tomogunchi, so much so that a developer from Infinity Ward has broken down exactly how to care for the pet on your wrist.
Firstly, you want to make sure that you have both the Watch Interact and Check Watch gestures equipped, so that you can use the former to activate bonuses and the latter to see the status of your tomogunchi at all times. The bonus bar beneath the pixelated pet is directly tied to actions based on its current evolution, and you can bank what you’ve accumulated at any time to speed up your tomogunchi’s evolution.
Here’s what you’ll need to increase the bonus meter at each stage:
- Baby – Killstreaks
- Child – Wins
- Teen – Bomb plants
- Adult – Winning and top 3 placement
- Secret Evolution Form – Unknown currently
The four other tomogunchi statuses are each tied to specific gameplay mechanics:
- Hunger – Kills
- Dirty – Win Games
- Unruly – Objective Score
- Boredom – Activate Killstreaks
